To merge cells in excel follow these steps

Step1:

Select the cells you want to merge. example say A1:C1

step 2:

At the top of Excel, click:

Home → Alignment group

step 3:

Click the dropdown next to “Merge & Center”

step 4:

select "Merge Cells"
