• Merged cells cannot be split into individual rows and columns without using Unmerge Cells.

• Merged cells may cause issues when sorting or filtering data, so use merging sparingly in data tables.

• Keyboard shortcut for quick merge and center: Alt → H → M → C (Windows). Mac does not have a direct shortcut; the action must be done via the ribbon.
