Amount of the radioactive material that remains after time,t, is 4-3.5= 0.5 g

From 4 g to 0.5 g, the material decays in three half lives which equals time t.

n(t1/2) = t, where n is the number of half lives=3

Time taken to disintegrate the material to 0.5g is given by

3 x 10 = 30 days
