Click on the row number(s) where you want to apply the same height. You can select multiple rows by dragging or holdingCtrl(Windows) /Command(Mac) while clicking. -
Paste row height only
-
Right-click the selected row(s).
-
Choose Paste Special.
-
In the dialog box, select Row Heights and click OK.
-
The target rows will now have the same height as the copied row without changing the cell content or formatting.
Alternative Method Using Format Menu
-
Select the row with the desired height.
-
Go to the Home tab.
-
Click Format in the Cells group.
-
Choose Row Height… and note the value.
-
Select the target row(s), go to Format → Row Height…, and enter the same value.
This method works well when copying row height across sheets or different workbooks.
Tips
-
You cannot directly drag the row height like the fill handle; you must use Paste Special → Row Heights.
-
For multiple non-contiguous rows, repeat the steps or manually enter the height via the Format menu.
-
Copying row height preserves uniformity in tables, reports, and dashboards.
